DRAMA: THE ACTOR’S SKILL will use acting workshops, improvisational exercises and practice auditions to sharpen performance skills that will steer students toward the stage this spring.
This class will require a greater commitment from participants, as the production schedule will be heaver. Students will be expected to prepare several projects throughout the year including: Monologues, Dialogues, Musical Pantomime, Short Skits, A Music Video.
Additionally, each student will compile a resume for the creation of a professional level headshot should he or she be inclined to pursue acting beyond our stage. Arrangements are also being made for some professional guest lecturers to conduct workshops on specific performance areas such as Mime, Clowning, Puppetry and Voice-overs.
As for our own spring performance: Mr. “D” is keeping the details under-wraps for now as he evaluates this year’s troupe to sculpt a play that will showcase their specific talents. Our first quarter in Music flew by! The high school students enjoyed showcasing their instrumental and vocal talents at the Thanksgiving and Christmas Productions.
This next quarter in Music we will be offering High School Band and/or Concert Choir. In Concert Choir we will be focusing on choral work including proper breathing techniques, proper stances and stage etiquette, and how to project.
In High School Band we will continue working on contemporary Christian pieces that we will perform for chapel or at the next school production. The students are coming out of their shells as they gain more confidence and it has been a blessing to see their hard work pay off. I look forward to another successful quarter with our talented Faith Prep students!

 Mrs. Harris It is another year of High School Art. Last year, there were amazing paintings of various styles on our walls, but this year is a little different.
This is the year of Art Design and you will see various assortments of media and styles. The walls will be decorated with different forms of design, such as linear design, fashion design, video design, surrealistic design, repetitive design, and much, much more.
Once again God has blessed me with a great group of students. The talent is there and everyone will be amazed at the results. In about 2 to 3 weeks please visit our high school and check out our beautiful creations on the walls. Mrs. Harris |
